skiffle - Jazz, folk, or country music played by performers who use unconventional instruments, sometimes in combination with conventional instruments.
krewe - Any of several groups with hereditary membership whose members organize and participate as costumed paraders in the annual Mardi Gras carnival.
Skiffle Krewe is an ensemble made up of steel pans and conventional combo instruments completely dedicated to good-feeling music and a party atmosphere. Much like the krewe music found in the greatest party town of all (New Orleans!), Skiffle Krewe sports a true creole of styles including Samba/Bossa Nova (Brazil), Soca/Calypso (Trinidad), Reggae (Jamaica), and various American styles.
The sounds of the steel pans will make you feel like you’re sitting on a beach in the Caribbean, watching the sun go down over the ocean!
